Rubik’s cube mural made on Bhagat Singh Martyrdom Day
Observed every year on March 23rd, Shaheed Diwas (Martyrdom Day) honors Bhagat Singh, along with Rajguru and Sukhdev, who were hanged by the British in 1931. At just 23, Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life for India’s freedom, becoming a symbol of revolutionary courage. He wasn’t just a fighter with fire in his eyes—he was a thinker, a poet, and a visionary who believed that true freedom meant freedom of the mind and society.
Bhagat Singh wrote his own death wish at the age of 20, stating he wanted “death to awaken the slumbering nation.” His calmness in the face of death and belief that “Bombs and pistols do not make a revolution, the sword of revolution is sharpened on the whetting-stone of ideas,” continues to echo through generations. His life was short, but his voice still roars through history—urging every Indian to rise above fear, question injustice, and love their nation not blindly, but wisely.
