Puzzle cube mural of Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln (1809β1865) was the 16th President of the United States and one of the most influential leaders in history. He led the country through the American Civil War (1861β1865) and played a crucial role in abolishing slavery by signing the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. His leadership preserved the Union, strengthened democracy, and reshaped the United States.
Despite his towering legacy, Lincoln faced numerous failuresβhe lost multiple elections before becoming president. He also had a rare genetic disorder called Marfan Syndrome, which may have contributed to his tall and lean appearance. His assassination on April 14, 1865, by John Wilkes Booth was one of the most shocking moments in American history, but his ideals of freedom, equality, and justice continue to inspire the world.
