Puzzle cube mural of Madhubala
Madhubala (1933–1969), often called “The Venus of Indian Cinema,” was one of Bollywood’s most iconic and talented actresses. Known for her grace, beauty, and mesmerizing screen presence, she starred in classics like Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), and Mahal (1949). Despite her short life, her legacy as one of the most legendary actresses in Indian film history remains unmatched.
At the peak of her career, Madhubala was offered a Hollywood film by Frank Capra, but she couldn’t accept it due to family restrictions. Even today, she is often compared to Marilyn Monroe for her beauty and tragic life. Though she passed away at just 36 due to a heart condition, she remains an eternal symbol of Indian cinema’s golden era.
