Puzzle cube mural made of Dr. Shyama Prasad
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was an Indian politician, barrister, and academician who significantly shaped India’s political landscape. Born in 1901 in Kolkata, he became the youngest Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University. He initially served in Nehru’s cabinet but resigned over ideological differences, especially regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
In 1951, he founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of the BJP, and strongly opposed Article 370. His protest against Kashmir’s special status led to his arrest, and he died under mysterious circumstances in 1953. His legacy continues to inspire nationalist movements in India.
