Puzzle cube mosaic of Thomas Alva Edison made on his Birthday
Born on February 11, 1847, Thomas Alva Edison was one of the most influential inventors in history, often credited with lighting up the modern world—quite literally. With over 1,000 patents to his name, Edison invented or perfected revolutionary devices like the electric light bulb, phonograph, and motion picture camera. His relentless experimentation and belief in perseverance made him a symbol of innovation and the spirit of invention.
What’s truly astonishing is that Edison once said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” His lab in Menlo Park was the first industrial research lab in the world, setting the foundation for modern R&D. Though he had little formal education and was nearly deaf, his curiosity and determination never dimmed. Edison’s journey proves that imagination with grit can turn darkness into light—both literally and metaphorically.
