Chaitra Navratri is a significant Hindu festival observed in the Chaitra month (March-April), marking the arrival of spring and the beginning of the Hindu New Year in many regions. It is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine divine forms, celebrated over nine days with fasting, prayers, and devotional rituals. The festival concludes with Ram Navami, the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, adding to its spiritual significance.
Devotees observe fasts, chant mantras, perform aarti, and offer special prayers to seek blessings for prosperity and well-being. Many people also organize Kalash Sthapana (Ghatasthapana) as a symbol of invoking divine energy at home. The festival promotes inner purification, self-discipline, and devotion while celebrating the triumph of good over evil.
