Buzz Aldrin is an American astronaut best known as the second person to walk on the Moon during the historic Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969. Alongside Neil Armstrong, he spent over two hours exploring the lunar surface, marking a monumental achievement in human history. He was the first person to hold a religious ceremony on the Moon—he privately took Holy Communion shortly after landing. His pioneering spirit continues to inspire advancements in space travel and Mars exploration.
