Puzzle cube mural of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru
More than just India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a visionary who laid the foundation for a progressive, self-reliant India. A firm believer in science, education, and democracy, he established institutions like IITs, AIIMS, and ISRO, shaping India’s future as a global power. His dream was not just independence from British rule but independence through knowledge, industrial growth, and unity.
But Nehru was not just a leader; he was “Chacha Nehru”—a figure who adored children and believed that they were the real strength of the nation. His love for young minds led to the establishment of Children’s Day on his birth anniversary, November 14. Even today, his ideals remind us that a nation’s true progress is measured by the opportunities it provides to its people, especially its youth.
