A puzzle cube mosaic of Mahatma Gandhi was created on Martyrs’ Day, paying tribute to his sacrifice and message of peace
On Martyrs’ Day, a moving portrait of Mahatma Gandhi was assembled cube by cube by children from slum communities. It wasn’t just a tribute to Bapu—it was a reminder of the price paid for peace, and the power of nonviolence.
One child asked, “Why would anyone kill someone who wanted peace?” That question led to a beautiful discussion about sacrifice, hate, and hope. Through the mural, the children didn’t just learn about Gandhi—they felt him.
