Puzzle cube mural of Dasrath Manjhi
Dashrath Manjhi, also known as the “Mountain Man,” was a laborer from Bihar who single-handedly carved a 360-foot-long path through a mountain using only a hammer and chisel. After his wife died due to lack of timely medical care, he resolved to cut through the Gehlaur Hills, shortening the 55 km journey to just 15 km for his village. It took him 22 years (1960-1982) to complete this impossible task.
Despite being poor and ridiculed, he never gave up. His determination and selfless effort made him a symbol of perseverance. Today, the road he built continues to serve thousands, proving that one man’s dedication can move mountains—literally.
