Remembering the Cost of War
Hiroshima Day remembers the devastating atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in 1945. The bombs, “Little Boy” and “Fat Man,” caused immense loss of life and suffering. The day reminds us of the horrors of war and the importance of choosing peace, humanity, and harmony. It teaches children the importance of peace, humanity, and working together to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
