Puzzle cube mosaic of Karva
Karva Chauth is a popular Hindu festival celebrated by married women, primarily in North India, to pray for the well-being, longevity, and prosperity of their husbands. The festival usually falls in October or November, on the fourth day of the dark fortnight of the Kartika month. On this day, women observe a day-long fast, refraining from food and water, which is broken only after sighting the moon. The fast is a symbol of their devotion and love for their husbands.
Karva Chauth is the tradition of women gathering together for a community ritual, where they listen to Karva Chauth stories, share their experiences, and break their fast with the sight of the moon through a sieve. The fast is not just about physical endurance but also about strengthening the emotional and spiritual bond between husband and wife. It’s a celebration of love, commitment, and the sacrifice women make for the well-being of their loved ones.
