Puzzle cube mural of Mahaveer Ji
Mahaveer Jayanti is the most significant festival for Jains, celebrating the birth of Lord Mahaveer, the 24th Tirthankara and a great proponent of non-violence (Ahimsa), truth (Satya), and compassion. Observed on the 13th day of Chaitra month (March-April), devotees visit temples, offer prayers, and participate in charitable activities to honor his teachings.
His complete renunciation—he abandoned his royal life at 30 and meditated for 12 years before attaining Kevala Jnana (supreme knowledge). His emphasis on Ahimsa (non-violence) later inspired great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, making his teachings timeless and universally relevant.
