National Unity Day, celebrated on October 31, honors the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. The creation of the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue, standing at 182 meters, located in Gujarat. It was unveiled in 2018 as a tribute to his leadership and his crucial role in India’s independence and unity.
