Honouring the Gurus Who Shape Us
Teachers’ Day in India is celebrated on 5 September, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned philosopher, scholar, and India’s second President. Interestingly, when his students wanted to celebrate his birthday, he suggested that the day should instead be observed as Teachers’ Day, honouring teachers and their role in shaping young minds.
