Goddess Saraswati is the Hindu deity of wisdom, learning, music, and arts. She is often depicted as a graceful goddess dressed in white, seated on a lotus, holding a veena (musical instrument) and scriptures, symbolizing knowledge, purity, and creativity. She is worshipped by students, scholars, and artists, especially on Vasant Panchami, which marks the arrival of spring and is dedicated to her blessings for wisdom and intellect.

Unlike many deities associated with wealth or power, Saraswati Ma represents the ultimate treasure—knowledge, which can never be stolen or diminished. In some traditions, she is also believed to be the consort of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, signifying that creation itself begins with wisdom.
