Rubik’s cube mosaic depiction of a small child working as a labourer for World Day Against Child Labor
This mural was created on World Day Against Child Labor to bring attention to the harsh reality that millions of children around the world are still trapped in child labor. The image of a child carrying a heavy load is a reminder of the burden that should never be placed on young shoulders. This day urges us to ensure that every child enjoys the right to education, play, and a safe childhood.
Despite global efforts, around 160 million children are still engaged in child labor—half of them in hazardous conditions. What’s lesser known is that even short-term school dropouts often fall into labor due to family needs, and many never return to education, leading to a lifelong cycle of poverty.
